Pubalgia: pubalgia treatment in Terrassa

What it involves

Sports physiotherapy in Terrassa: each plan is tailored to your injury and your situation. First we assess, then we choose the technique.

  • Ultrasound assessment of the adductor and abdominal muscles
  • Specific invasive and manual therapy
  • Progressive sports rehabilitation programme
  • Monitoring of the return to competition

Common symptoms

  • Groin or lower abdominal pain when running, changing direction or kicking.
  • Discomfort when coughing, sneezing or sitting up.
  • Stiffness after activity or in the morning.
  • Pain that increases with effort and eases with rest.

How we assess it

I examine the hip, lower back and the adductor and abdominal muscles, with strength tests. When needed, I add an ultrasound of the area. Groin pain does not always have a single cause, so I do not look only at where it hurts: I assess the hip, pelvis, strength and movement control as a whole.

How we treat it

I combine manual therapy, ultrasound-guided invasive therapy when indicated and a progressive-loading rehabilitation programme. The goal is not just to stop the pain, but to compete again with confidence.

When to seek advice

If the pain has lasted weeks, limits your sport or appeared suddenly and severely. If you have severe pain, fever or a lump in the groin, see a doctor first.
